Summer Worship Schedule Begins May 25th: 7:00, 8:15 & 10:00 a.m.

The 7:00 a.m. "Light" service will include a brief message, prayers and communion and have you on your way by 7:30 a.m.

Adult Forum - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.

What is the Church’s role—our role—in God’s plan of redemption? This is the question we have been exploring in the Adult Forum under Dick Finnick’s leadership.

Sunday School Teacher Recognition - June 1st

On Sunday, June 1st at the 10:00 a.m. service we will give God thanks for the ministry of the countless volunteers who make this key ministry happen at Lord of Life.

Interested in Learning More About Lord of Life? Join Us on June 7th!

"Beginnings" is designed for those interested in learning more about discipleship at Lord of Life Congregation. Beginnings will be held on Saturday morning, June 7th from 9:00 a.m. until Noon, and will include a brunch. For those interested in joining the church, a New Member Reception will be held at the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, June 15, 2008.

Graduate Recognition - June 8th

We will celebrate all graduates from any program, including high school and post-college at both worship services on June 8th. As part of this recognition we want to include a listing in the bulletin. To complete this listing please contact the church office by May 15th with any graduation information for members of your family for whom this is relevant this year.

Annual Rummage Sale - June 12-14

Thank you to Kara Poole who has volunteered to be this year’s coordinator. Kara will be looking for volunteers to help set up and work during the sale. Please plan to help in any way you can. Clean out your closets, basements and garages! Items will not be accepted until the week of the sale. Watch for details.

Art Camp: June 23-27, 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. and
July 7-11, 9:00 a.m. - Noon.

Lord of Life is offering two weeks of Art Camp for children post-Kindergarten through 6th grade. Add a splash of color to your child’s summer and sign up now! Register on Sunday mornings or in the church office during office hours (9:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m.)

Vacation Bible School - Rainforest Adventure
June 23-27, 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Ages 3 (potty-trained) through 5th grade

  • Set in the canopy of a vibrant and exciting rainforest environment, children will discover that everyone can do their part to care for God’s creation. Registration forms are available in the Gathering Space.
  • We are looking for many volunteers to be Group Leaders, Station Leaders and support staff (Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers—we need you!) Everything you need is provided. Please let Connie Colasante know ASAP if you can help. 
  • VBS supplies are needed: Please see the list in the Gathering Space. Bring items to the church or call Connie Colasante for pick-up.

Bay St. Louis Home Sponsorship

Our Bay St. Louis Home Sponsorship Leadership Team is in place and they are looking for committee members to work with them on the Reverse Raffle. If you are interested, please contact Ann Friedholm, Dave Mattmuller, or the church office.

Summer Music Schedule

Throughout the summer months our Chancel Choir and Youth singers take a break, so Sandy Cipiti will be looking for soloists and ensembles to provide special music during our 8:15 and 10:00 a.m. worship services in June, July and August. If you would like to share your talent in this special music ministry, please let Sandy know.

Softball Sign-up

If anyone is interested in playing Recreational Co-ed Softball, please sign-up in the Gathering Space.

Lutheran Summer Camps

If you are between the ages of 6-18 you have a great opportunity this summer. There are some amazing Lutheran summer camps where you would be able to spend a week learning more about God, yourself, and getting to know many people your age. If you are interested in finding out more about summer camp head to www.mowana.com or talk to Intern Pastor Thadd.

Spring Cleaning Projects - We Need Your Help!

A check-off list for Spring Cleaning/maintenance projects is available in the Gathering Space. If you are able to help, please indicate which project(s) you would be willing to do and turn it into the church office. Any time you can contribute is very much appreciated.

Ongoing Outreach

Bainbridge Food for Friends - provides food for those in need. Please bring non-perishable food items to the Gathering Space.
Cartridges for Kids - Bring in your empty inkjet, laser, fax and copier cartridges, and used cell phones for to help our Preschool.
City Mission -Travel size toiletries and men’s socks are needed. There is a box for these items in the Gathering Space.
County Home Ministry - Monthly visit to the Pleasant Hill Geauga County Home for the Aged. We visit with the residents, play Bingo, and provide prizes and refreshments. We are in need of volunteers! If you can join us for just a couple of hours (1:00—3:00 p.m.) on the third Tuesday of each month, please call Alice Jacob at 440-543-4712 or Karen Fodor at 330-425-7521.
